Week 6

Hi

Thanks to those who have emailed me or text me a photo of a family celebration. For our RE learning.
On Tuesday I will be attending a course with Mrs Eastwood and Mrs Stratford will be in Room 2.
We have gymnastics this week on Wednesday and PMP Thursday so please make sure children wear their sport's uniforms.
Wednesday we are going to Mass at 9am.
Full school assembly is on Friday at 2.10pm.

This week we have been looking at symmetrical objects and especially those that have a line of reflective symmetry where both sides are the same, such as faces, chairs and doors. Please help your child to find and draw three things from where you live that have a line of symmetry. For example the table top, the bed, or an egg carton.

Have a great week

Week 9 Term 2

Hi everyone

Thank you to those parents who brought their children along to school Mass yesterday to support Dakotah making his Baptism.  A big congratulations to Dakotah! The children were very interested in watching the Baptisms, as for some it was the first time they had ever seen anyone being baptised. Was also great to welcome new families and children to our school.

Also, thank you for your support for Wig Wednesday, where we raised over $200 towards child cancer.

Please note we currently have head lice in Room 2.  Please check your child's hair and treat if necessary.

What's Coming Up?

Ice-skating on Tuesday and Thursday - please remember helmets and gloves.

This Thursday 28 June is our cultural assembly organised by some senior pupils where we celebrate all the different cultures in our school.  Room 2 is performing a Cook Island dance taught to us by Kiri Mulholland. Please come along and support this assembly if you are free. NO PMP this week.

Please make sure that your child has a poem ready to present to the class for our school Eisteddfod. If you can not find a poem, they can choose one from their poetry book. We will probably be listening to these either later in the week or next Monday or Tuesday.

Next Monday and Tuesday I will be away watching my Daughter Ella sing as part of the Dunstanza senior girls choir at the Sydney Opera house. Mrs Laidlaw will be in Room 2 for these days.
