Week 4- Swimming

Hi

This week we have swimming on Tuesday and Wednesday and the SWIMMING SPORTS on Thursday.  Please ensure swimming gear is brought to school on these days.  Your child will need to be dropped to the pool on Thursday morning - wearing house colours if available.
The children sit in house groups on the side of the big pool.
The junior sports run from 10am (I will confirm this tomorrow) until about 10.30am.
Children return to school at 12pm on a bus.

Homework books are well underway and thank you for all your hard work on the word lists!!!
I did pop in another chart of the 4 things to do for the week.
Reading will come home all this week and feel free to grab more books from the children's book boxes.

Whole school assembly on Friday at 2.15pm in the hall, all welcome.

Thanks to the children and parents who joined us for the school mass.

Have a great week and please come and ask if you have any questions.

Maths in Room 2

Hi

We have been playing Maths games this week in Room 2.
It would be helpful to play some games at home too.
This teaches counting on from a given number, taking turns and working with others.
These games will be in the maths group baskets to play while other groups are working with me.
Here are some photos of learning in action!!!
Have a great weekend

Swimming on Thursday 15th February from 11.00 -12.00.  We will be travelling to and from the pool by bus.  If you are free to help dress children you are most welcome to join us at the pool.  It would also be great if we could have a parent that is willing to get in the pool to teach a group of children. (We will have activities on a card for you.)  Please let us know if you would keen to help.

Week 2 Term 1

Hi everyone,

Hope the first few days of school went well and your child is feeling positive and happy.

Please remember to check the blog at the beginning of each week to find out what's happening. It is usually posted on Sunday evening.

An important date this week is our Meet the Teacher evening from 5.30 - 7pm this Thursday 8 February.   Please bring tea and come along to meet with other families,  eat outside in our beautiful
environment and then listen to the expectations, goals, homework and activities for Room 2 this year.
(The BBQ will be available if you wish to BBQ any food.)

Swimming starts next week for Rooms 2 and 7 on Thursday 15th February from 11.00 -12.00.  We will be travelling to and from the pool by bus.  If you are free to help dress children you are most welcome to join us at the pool.  It would also be great if we could have a parent that is willing to get in the pool to teach a group of children. (We will have activities on a card for you.)  Please let us know if you would keen to help.

Thank you to everyone for purchasing the stationery box before school started.  We also require parents to pay $8 to Chrissy at the office to cover felts, coloured pencils and tissues which were not part of the stationery order. We realise that this is an expensive time of the year so just whenever it is possible.

Please start sending along boxes, cardboard rolls, plastic bottles and containers for our construction box. Also if every child could please bring a old shirt or teeshirt to be used as a paint shirt.

Have a great week and enjoy Waitangi Day on Tuesday.
